Redskins haven’t been to a Superbowl in over 20 years. And I still fillow the rules of George Carlin. So lets face it, like all the Eagles fans EVER, I just go for the commercials friends and food. My friends didn’t disappoint me this year. Not complaining about last year’s spread, that was pretty damn good. But Joe and Theresa make some bangong shrimp alfredo, crab dip, chilli dip, pulled pork and some amazing hot wings. My wife and kids came to this Superbowl party.
This game was simply 1000 times better then last year. Exciting and close. One bad call in the end changed everything. Fun, action packed, some decent ads. Liam Neeson was my favorite.
Didn’t get blown away by the halftime show but the reactions on twitter were great.
Had a better time than last year. Not because of the company. The people at both venues were great. Not because of the food, both were amazing.
It was about a great game and having my family with me.
Looking forward to next year.
Game night had a special table guest. Mom went out and we broke out the dice. Let the adventure begin.
Last week a group of fourth grade students came in to learn about the library. Part of the fun was visiting my department. Today, when I came in, the Children’s Librarian have me a packet of thank you letters.
Here are a few samples.
These made my week!
Heading in to work I see the roof looks completely different today.
The interior is still the place where the magic happens. Great team, great coworkers, great job, great fun.
Off to get paid to have a good time.
Somebody doesn’t want to sleep tonight. So he’s hanging out with dad.
Sunshine, blue skies and no snow. I could be working and the kids could be in school. Where’s the fun in that.
Instead, we went on an adventure. We battled the forces of evil and had a great time. Sword fights, spying on the enemy, hiding from bad guys. Dragons and wolves. The quest will go on another day.
Two Feet, Eighteen Inches, Twelve Inches, 8……6….1 to 3…. Nothing.
What a bummer. My kids and I love snow. Nothing would have been better than a snow day and a foot of the white stuff to play in.
Well, maybe the next storm.
Kids are off and I am off. Regardless what happens tonight, we will find something to do tomorrow.
