Night to the ER, round 2. Little guy has a fever. Nothing but a spiking fever that pops up from 98 to 104+ in an hour. They tested every bodily fluid and more. He has been poked and prodded by nurses and doctors. Takes it all in stride. He doesn’t argue, listens and pays attention. He wants to watch everything they do and when the medicine kicks in and he is feeling better, things turn around great. He makes a great patient. No crying, no complaints.
As we were getting ready to leave tonight, another patient went by in a wheelchair. Seeing his reaction, I asked if he wanted to ride in one.
“Yeah dad! I can be like Professor X!
That’s my boy.
