Five seasons of one of the best science fiction shows came to an end last night. I watched the first half last night. Today I excitedly waited for the chance to watch part two. Why am I so excited about the end of a sci-fi series?
Because they are able to end the story. Many shows get cancelled before the story is told and that is sad. It is tragic. This is an art form and these stories are more than just ratings and commercials. It is something I have been passionate about for some time. From previous blogs, to a Pinterest board. I have signed petitions and protested with letters. I have mailed boxes of tissues, rocks and more to networks to show how I felt.
This is not one of those times. This is a real ending and I can’t wait to see how it wraps up. I applaud the writers for telling the tale and ending it when they chose. The same with Babylon 5 and others. They tell a fantastic story. That is all.
If you are not or have never been a Fringe fan, I recommend you give it a try. The cast is brilliant. The story is fantastic and loosely grounded in science. It is a wonderful tale about humanity, love, loss and the possibilities our future can have.
